Deep Dive | Anna Robins | e.33

I gotta tell ya folks, there is nothing like getting to spend quality time with someone. You get past a lot of surface level content, which honestly is where most of us live. It’s easy to get a social media comment, or 3-5 minute pass by at a public place and think, “Oh I know them!” In truth, knowing someone takes time…a lot of time. And finding people worth spending that time on is, in my opinion, the key to a well lived life.

Hanging out with Anna for this episode was easily time well spent. We’ve known each other for a while, but both of us are INSANELY busy and really only catch each other at events out and about. This was a rare occasion where we had time alone to just sit and talk and feeling like both of us got to know a bit more about each other.

For instance,

Anna loves to laugh!

There’s something about laughter that freaking rejuvenates the soul! You won’t get far in our episode without hearing her laughter, which in turn leads to me laughing.

And why shouldn’t she!? Here’s a woman with an insane amount of talent currently doing all that she loves for a living! That obviously leads to a happy heart with an outlook bent towards enjoyment. Imagine what you outlook you could have on life if you were able to do exactly what you wanted?

Now, I’m not naive, it ain’t all flowers of course. That, though, is kind of the point if you ask me. Getting to dive right into what you love and embrace all the good times and hard times that come with it leads to genuine life. That is something not a lot of people get to do. It’s a chance to deep dive into all that her talent can produce and I for one am glad she has this opportunity.

In our conversation, we talked through her songwriting, music scoring, and film production…which is a lot of talent packed into one person. She does it all with a high level of quality that can’t be missed. Between her latest album and latest film,

Anna has shown her consistency in putting out art that is worth paying attention to.

Also, she’s just a fun person to hang out with. She’s genuine and honest. She’s done a lot of work and things that lead a lot of people to simply view her as an advocate for social causes. We brought that up briefly in our episode and I think Anna put it best when she said that she simply wants to be looked at as a fellow human. In a world that constantly categorizes everyone and looks for reasons to divide, I can’t begin to tell you how refreshing it was to to talk with someone looking for reasons to unite. I believe that is the future and in a lot of ways Anna is already there.

Please please please check this episode out! You’re gonna want to find an excuse to hang out with Anna also!
